2008 was an exciting year for the Triple Crown with Big Brown sweeping the Kentucky Derby and Preakness with ease. He headed into the Belmont Stakes as a heavy favorite only to disappoint the fans by being pulled up in the final turn while longshot Da'Tara went on to win.
